1. Objective: The goal of the ladder league is to move up the rankings by challenging and defeating higher-ranked players or teams.

2. League Duration: The season will run for a specified period (3 months). The ladder leaderboard continues to remain in perpetuity through multiple league seasons.

3. Match Scheduling: Players/teams are responsible for scheduling their matches after issuing or accepting challenges. Matches must be played within a set period (10 days after accepting a challenge).

4. Match Format: Matches are best of 3 sets.

5. All participants in league pay $20/month* to participate. Court booking fees remain standard and are paid for by league participants. *Payment processed through the PadelFast app.

6. If you need a new temporary partner due to injury or a new permanent partner due to a drop out, bring it up to league administrator (Juan) and we will help you out. 

3.1 Structure:

• Teams: Fixed doubles teams of two players each.

• Ranking: Teams are ranked on the ladder based on their combined performance.

3.2 Challenge Guidelines:

• Teams can challenge opponents ranked within a certain range above them (e.g., 1–3 spots).

• Teams cannot refuse more than one challenge in a row unless they have a valid reason (e.g., injury).

• Teams must respond to challenges within 48 hours and schedule the match within 10 days.

3.3 Ladder Movement Rules:

• Win by Lower-Ranked Team: The lower-ranked team takes the place of the higher-ranked team. The higher-ranked team drops one spot below the winner, and teams below shift accordingly.

• Win by Higher-Ranked Team: Rankings remain the same.

3.4 Scoring System:

• Base Points for a Win: +5 points for each player on the winning team.

• Bonus Points:

  - Upset Bonus: +1 points if a team defeats a team ranked 5 spots above your team..

• Participation Points: +2 points per losing player for each match played.

Streak Bonus: +3 points after winning 3 consecutive matches.

• Submission Method: Matches must be made official and scored in the Padel United app and match results must be submitted via PadelFast app.

• Required Information: Match date, players/teams involved, final scores, and the winning team.

• Deadline: Match results must be submitted within 24 hours of the match conclusion.

• A player/team that fails to show up for a scheduled match without proper notice will forfeit the match.

• Forfeiting players/teams may receive 0 points, while the opponent may receive full points (+5 points for each player).

• Repeated forfeits (more than 2) may result in temporary suspension from the league.

• All players are expected to follow good sportsmanship and abide by the league rules.

• Any disputes must be reported to the league administrator (Juan) for review.

• Unsportsmanlike conduct (e.g., disrespecting opponents, failing to report scores) may result in penalties.

• Best of 3, no golden point.

• Top Ladder Spot: Awarded to the highest-ranked individual or team at the end of the season.

• Each season runs for 3 months.

• During each season, points are earned by teams based on match wins and are displayed on the leaderboard.

• The ladder ranking reflects the team's overall performance in the club, regardless of the points.

• After Season 1, the standings are determined, and the same teams continue into Season 2, etc.

• This approach ensures that teams are rewarded for both their points accumulation and consistent performance throughout the seasons.
